Q : What is an 'ensuite' bathroom?
A : An 'ensuite' bathroom is a bathroom for your exclusive use that is entered from within your bedroom.
Q : What is a 'private' bathroom?
A : A 'private' bathroom is a bathroom for your exclusive use outside of your bedroom, usually adjacent or nearby to your bedroom.
Q : What is a 'shared' bathroom?
A : A 'shared' bathroom is a bathroom outside of your bedroom that us shared between a number of guests.

Q : What is Bed and
Breakfast ?
A : Bed and Breakfast within the UK is generally provided in private
homes. This means that they offer a more personal level of service but
do not necessarily have all the facilities of a ' Hotel '. There many
also be a degree of normal ' Family Life ' continuing during your stay
- hence it is important to let your hosts know via ourselves if you
have any special requirements.
Q : How big is London
?
Many visitors to London have no idea of the size of the capital - it
is HUGE - Greater London covers an area that is around 50 miles
across (North to South and East to West) - even central London covers
a vast area. To get from one side of London to center by car or public
transport can easily take an hour ! Even travel by tube train in the
center can take 20 mins to get from one popular place to another. Many
visitors do not realise this so if you are recommended a place that is
say 30 minutes from central London this is in a good position to get
into London fairly quickly. The nearer you go to the center the more
your accommodation will cost.
Q : How far is Heathrow airport from central London ? Where is it
situated ?
A : Heathrow airport is quite a way outside of London, at round
25 miles from central London. It is situated in the far western suburbs
of London. It takes around an hour to reach by car from central London,
or by tube train around 40 minutes. You can also take the Heathrow Express
service to Paddington in central London taking on 15 minutes but costing
around £12 for a one way journey.
Q : How far is Gatwick
airport from central London ? Where is it situated ?
A : Gatwick airport is quite a distance south of London, around
35 miles, but it has excellent connections to central London. It's around
an hour drive by car from central London. There are regular trains and
coaches into London or you can take the Gatwick Express train to London
Victoria which takes around 20 minutes and costs about £8 for
a one way trip.
